Delivery of the sand
The time has come! The shipment of the sculpturing sand from June 4-6 for the Sand World 2007 is the starting point of the four-week long setting up of the sand sculpture festival directly at the Travemünde Priwall beach. This year for the first time the special sculpturing sand with the angular grain comes from the Brandenburg Sand and Mortar Factory Niederlehme (a total of 3.500 t).

Der Aufbau des Sandskulpturenfestivals in Travemünde beginnt

Es geht los! Die Schiffslieferung des Skulptursandes für die Sand World 2007 vom 04. bis 06. Juni ist der Startschuss für den rund vierwöchigen Aufbau des Sandskulpturenfestivals direkt am Travemünder Priwallstrand. In diesem Jahr stammt der spezielle Skulptursand mit dem eckigen Korn erstmalig aus dem brandenburgischen Kieswerk Niederlehme (insg. ca. 3.500t).

True to the motto of global history, the event is will offer an interesting journey through time and space. Just made of water and sand, the sculptures will represent the world’s greatest buildings, most important people and inventions, as well as the most exciting events from antiquity to modern times.
