On September, 5. Sand World invites all blind and visually handicapped people to Priwall Beach. One day after the official closing of Sand World, the sculpture park opens from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. We offer the unique opportunity to touch the sand sculptures and feel the sandy fairy-tale world.

Visually handicapped people who are planning a trip to Travemünde’s sand sculpture festival by September, 4 get information via our special audio guides. These guides were produced in cooperation with Schleswig-Holstein’s association for visually handicapped (Blinden und Sehbehindertenverein Schleswig Holstein e.V). Moreover, we offer a text information system called SCRABBLIXX. It provides information on several sculptures. 


Sand World opens daily until September, 4.
Opening hours are Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. – 11 p.m. and Friday through Sunday 10 a.m. -12 p.m.
Prices for adults: € 6, 00 p.p.; Children aged 5 to 11: € 3, 00; All prices include a passenger ferry to the Priwall peninsula (2 tours).
